Rub your hands together until they are hot. Place them over your face and inhale deeply. Now set the timer for ten minutes, take out your notebook, fast writing pen, and describe the smell of your hands over your face. Grab any word, any image. Don’t think. Just write. The more words you write, the more likely the right word will hit the page. Mark Twain said that the difference between the right word and the “almost” right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.
